Pins may not be the most exciting item in your sewing box, but they are a vital tool to anchor your fabric when you are sewing.
They temporarily hold the fabric in place when attaching and cutting patterns, or while sewing. They are best to use with a machine because they are easy to remove quickly as you sew.
Pin Tip: If you pin the long borders on a quilt before you sew them together you are less likely to get that ripple on the fabric after you sew them together. The pins keep the top and bottom fabric from stretch as much and makes a smooth seam.
